The Patterns of Perfection
Part ii
There is no end to the study of numbers in Scripture. Besides the Law of First Mention through words and phrases, God the Holy Spirit has also given us patterns not only in words, but patterns in numerical structures linking His supernatural numbering system as a whole.
Let’s take for an example the first time that God called Himself the I AM to Moses in Exodus 3:14. And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Now compare this to when Christ also called Himself I AM in John 8:58. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. How does the Holy Spirit reinforce the truth that Christ is God manifested to man in the flesh.
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
29 words
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
15 words.
The difference is 14 words.
Here we have in baby biblical math the number 14, which is a double measure of spiritual perfection . . . DOUBLE SEVEN.
I and [my] Father are one. (John 10:30)
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father? (John 14:9)
And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. (John 12:45)
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:Â (Colossians 1:15)
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;Â (Hebrews 1:3)
The King James Bible is a book of endless wonder. The Holy Spirit of God writes not only with rhythmic clarity, but within His words He deliberately buries a mine of golden numbers as priceless jewels to be uncovered and shared.
