The Chapters of Number 18 –

The Chapters of the Number Eighteen

The written word of God, His book of revelation, the revealing of Himself will never ever cease to amaze the diligent reader, the seeker of truth and the child of God. As every 13th Chapter is about evil, so also EVERY categorized as the 18th Chapter is about JUDGMENT.
The 6th Chapter of the first book of the Bible, Genesis, sets the theme of man and his number, the number six. Many people are familiar with the numbers 6 – 6 – 6 representing The Beast of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. (Revelation 13:18) This address draws two numbers together, the number 13 and the number 18, but this is not the only place where these two numbers meld together as one. When you add these four numbers together, what is their sum? One plus three plus one plus eight (1+3+1+8) adds up to number thirteen (13). There it is again, the number of evil. And there is much more in these numbers, however, let us not dawdle, let us quickly proceed with our spiritual abacus.
Moving on to the number 18, the book of Romans begins God’s JUDGMENT on Adamkind with . . . guess which number? Romans Chapter 1, verse 18 reveals man’s downward path to destruction and judgment beginning at verse 18 which is three times the number 6 (3 x 6=18) . . . and six is the number of the man, and The Beast that is to come is 6 – 6 – 6, the trinity of evil, the trinity of man’s wickedness.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (Romans 1:18)
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (Romans 1:19)
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20)
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (Romans 1:21)
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:22)
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (Romans 1:23)
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (Romans 1:24)
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:25)
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (Romans 1:26)
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:27)
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Romans 1:28)
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, (Romans 1:29)
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (Romans 1:30)
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: (Romans 1:31)
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:32)

—– Judgment and the JUDGE —–

According to the Law of First Mention, the first mention of a word contains the root meaning of the word and from that first mention that meaning becomes the main theme throughout every mention of that specific word. The first time that the word Judge is recorded is in Genesis Chapter 18, verse 25. That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? This 18th Chapter is about Abraham’s discussion with God, in the face of Jesus Christ, concerning the pending JUDGMENT on Sodom. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? was not a question by Abraham, it was a plea to save the righteous who resided in Sodom, and to our surprise there were not that many who were righteous. There was only ONE righteous person in all of Sodom, and that was Lot, Abraham’s nephew. As there was only ONE righteous person in the diluvian age: Noah, so also, the same merciful God rescued seven undeserving souls of Noah’s family from the deadly devastation of God’s Earth, so also this same merciful God rescued four undeserving souls of Lot’s family from the brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven. However, Lot’s nameless wife had become so infatuated by Sodom’s state of sexual depravity that her twisted heart could not accept the validity of God’s judgment. The rescuing angels said, look not behind thee. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. (Genesis 19:17) But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26) Notice the position of Lot’s wife, she was behind Lot, she was not in front, nor was she beside Lot, BUT she was behind his back. Does this not speak volumes of her character? She not only did not believe the words of the angels, but she disobeyed their directives. Yet, the key to her unbelieving and disobedient heart was that she acted in all things BEHIND Lot’s back. Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3)

Chapter 18 in the Old Testament

Throughout every 18th Chapter in the word of God, you will have the righteous and the wicked, those who serve God and those who work against God. In every 18th Chapter, God acts IN JUDGMENT FOR and IN JUDGMENT AGAINST. In every 18th Chapter God’s JUDGMENT is prominently displayed. Some chapters deal with only one subject, while some chapters relate to groups, but the one consistent message is JUDGMENT . . . someone is JUDGED . . . something is JUDGED . . . or someone acts in JUDGMENT. Let’s tackle each 18th Chapter of the Old Testament.

It is fitting that God closes the Old Testament through chapters with the number 18 with Ezekiel 18:4, 21 and 32 revealing His longsuffering of His rejected mercy by the unrepentant sinner.

Chapter 18 in the New Testament

God closes out His theme of JUDGMENT in the 18th Chapters of the gospel of Matthew, the gospel of Luke, the gospel of John, and in His spectacular manner, the Holy Spirit of God finalizes His JUDGMENT theme that ties everything mentioned within every 18th together.

Matthew, Chapter 18
JUDGMENT of the wicked servant.

Luke, Chapter 18
The unrighteous judge and the Righteous Judge.

John, Chapter 18
The JUDGMENT HALL of Pilate.
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. (John 18:28)
Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? (John 18:33)

This 18th Chapter discloses the UNRIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT of a corrupt government and a corrupt priesthood AND a corrupt people. Here in John 18, the people chose an unjust man over a JUST MAN. This is the way of the world. The judgment halls of man have never changed.

Revelation Chapter 18
The fall of Babylon. BABYLON is JUDGED.
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. (Revelation 18:10)

The number 18 reveals man’s downward path to destruction and judgment. The number 18 is three times the number 6 (3 x 6=18) . . . and six is also the number of man, and The Beast that is to come of 6 – 6 – 6. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Revelation 13:18) Evil is JUDGED.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20)

The trinity of evil will be JUDGED. Revelation 19:20 adds JUDGMENT through spiritual math: 1 x 9 x 2 = 18 and 1 + 8 = 9. No matter how you dice or slice it . . . ALL evil is JUDGED and all evil WILL BE JUDGED.
Some may say, it is all coincidental. The mantra of criminal detectives is that ‘one coincidence MAYBE, BUT‘ and ‘more than one coincidence and we have our criminal.‘ God’s word does not operate on ‘maybes.’ God’s word is TRUE. The UNSEEN message behind the number sequences is TRUE.
