Mini study of the words, fear, knowledge, wisdom and understanding: The fear of Lord leads to the knowledge of the holy, and the wisdom and understanding of God.

The words ‘fear,’ ‘wisdom,’ ‘knowledge,’ and ‘understanding,’ are mentioned all together only in two verses in the entire Bible. Proverbs 9:10 is addressed to all mankind. The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding. The second and last mention of these 4 words occur in Isaiah 11:2. And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; Isaiah 11:1 is given to reveal that the culmination lies in a particular Person, a root, and a Branch, a man, the man Christ Jesus.
